Custom orthotics are designed to specifically to help support, align and improve the function of your feet.  You will first meet with our chiropractor to discuss your symptoms, and any specific problerms you may be experiencing.  The chiropractor will then perform a physical examination of your feet, ankes, knee etc.. as well as how you walk to get an understanding of your biomechanics(how you move).

We then use 3d scanning technology to create a digital model of your foot.  Based on the analysis and the scan of your foot, your custom orhthotic is designed a fabricated.

When they are ready you will return and try them on to ensure that they fit.  Sometimes after wearing the orthotic some adjustments need to be made, in which case we send them back to the lab to be altered.

Yes,  orthotics can be removed and placed into different shoes, however it is important to note that they may not fit the same in all shoes.  The shoe must have enough room to accomodate the orthotic insert.  For this reason, shoes that have a removable insole are recommended.
